About Dr. Anderson

Dr. Anderson was born August 2, 1958 and grew up in the Lake Smith Terrace Neighborhood in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He attended Hermitage and Throughgood Elementary Schools. As a youth, he was very active in Boy Scouts and earned Eagle Scout in 1972.  During High School, he attended Bayside High and was very active in numerous clubs and organizations, especially Atlantic Ecology Club. In 1976, he  graduated near the top of class. From 1976-1980, Dr. Anderson attended the University of Richmond, where he studied Chemistry.   

In 1988, after recovering from a horrific automobile accident, Dr. Anderson returned to his old neighborhood and established solo dental practice. He moved to his present location at Pleasure House Road in 1995.

Dr. Anderson married his wife Barbara in 2000. He has step-children Chris and Sommer and grandchildren Hannah and Casey, ages 10 and 5.

Dr. Anderson enjoys traveling to outer banks, especially Ocracoke Island as well as his yearly trek to Key West, Florida. His leisure time is spent working in the yard or on various home projects. He especially enjoys just hanging out on the beach near home near Chesapeake Bay.
